I Love Everyone, But We’re All Wrong

I love Russians, Ukrainians, Estonians, Latvians, Poles, Georgians, and I probably love every christian soul on earth. What I don’t love is American neo-conservatism, Anglo-Scandianvian Pseudo-moral suicide, German Suicidal Counter-signaling, Eastern European disregard for the commons, and Russian predilection for dishonestyout of the fear of looking weak rather than honest confrontation and compromise .

We are all wrong about something. It doesn’t matter who is more wrong than anyone else.
The right answer is that the circumpolar people we call ‘christiandom’ range from the utopian australians and canadians, to the idealistic americans, to the pseudo-moral-suicidal scandinavians, to the counter-signaling germans, to the fearful and untrusting eastern europeans, to the nihilistic and paranoid russians, need to regain their confidence and return to the challenge at hand: domesticating the animal man – and to stop lying to themselves and each other.

The Orthodox Civil Society

Nov 18, 2016 12:19pm
If you go to a restaurant or club, or a shopping center in ukraine, or even a hotel lobby, their equivalent of ‘elevator music’ is a set of televisions, half of which are tuned to a series of fashion shows and the other half to soccer games. And that’s about all you see. this has a little bit to do with the difference in music: western music is theatrical (you’re sort of in church) and it’s supposed to entertain, whereas in that part of the world, it’s background for you and your friends to talk, drink, and kill an entire evening enjoying each other.

Now you can make a youtube channel equivalent by just searching for and playing a stream of fashon shows. I did it by accident today since auto-play just keeps a stream going. But it reminds me of yet another of the vast differences I notice:

Russians and Ukrainians live in a civil society. Americans live in school, academy, and consumer-church. We are over-told, over-sold, over-indoctrinated, over-fed, over-worked, over-isolated, and we’re fat, confused, and too many americans are lonely because of it.

If I could go back in time and Kill Keynes it would be almost as valuable as going back and killing zoroaster.

Moscow’s Indirect Education Of Europeans

Moscow’s conquest of south-eastern ukraine broke not only the postwar consensus on borders, but the peace of Westphalia that made states accountable for the factions inside their borders. To some degree this may help Europeans, and westerners, understand that their definition of war includes the assumption that wars are conducted by states against states rather than by factions within states against states or factions within other states – and that like the high trust society they live in, and the rule of law they live under, or the democracy that they practice, is just another European idiosyncrasy – an artifact of history that like trust, law, democracy, can readily convert to human norms of low trust, corruption, and totalitariansm.

Russian Philosophy (From Routledge)

—” ‘Russian Idea’ – … the most distinctive feature of Russian philosophy – can be explained in terms of Russian history. The Mongol yoke from the twelfth to the fourteenth century cut Russia off from Byzantium (from which it had received Christianity) and from Europe: it had no part in the ferment of the Renaissance. Its rise as a unified state under the Moscow Tsardom followed closely on the fall of the Orthodox Byzantine Empire, and the emerging sense of Russian national identity incorporated a messianic element in the form of the monk Philotheus’ theory of Moscow as the ‘Third Rome’, successor to Rome and Constantinople as guardian of Christ’s truth in its purity (see Medieval philosophy, Russian). ‘There will not be a fourth’, ran the prophecy: the Russian Empire would last until the end of the world.

Russian thought remained dominated by the Greek patristic tradition until the eighteenth century, when the Kievan thinker Skovoroda (sometimes described as Russia’s first philosopher) developed a religious vision based on a synthesis of ancient and patristic thought. He had no following; by the mid-century Russia’s intellectual centre was St Petersburg, where Catherine the Great, building on the achievements of her predecessor Peter, sought to promote a Western secular culture among the educated elite with the aid of French Enlightenment ideas.

But representatives of the ‘Russian Enlightenment’ were severely punished when they dared to cite the philosophes’ concepts of rationality and justice in criticism of the political status quo (see Enlightenment, Russian). The persecution of advanced ideas (which served to strengthen the nascent intelligentsia’s self-image as the cultural and moral leaders of their society) reached its height under Nicolas I (1825–55), when philosophy departments were closed in the universities, and thought went underground.

Western ideas were the subject of intense debate in small informal circles of students, writers and critics, the most famous of which in Moscow and St Petersburg furnished the philosophical education of such intellectual leaders as the future socialists Herzen and Bakunin, the novelist and liberal Ivan Turgenev, the literary critic Belinskii (from whose ‘social criticism’ Soviet Socialist Realism claimed descent), and the future Slavophile religious philosophers Kireevskii and Khomiakov (see Slavophilism).

As a critic has noted: ‘In the West there is theology and there is philosophy; Russian thought, however, is a third concept’; one which (in the tsarist intellectual underground as in its Soviet successor) embraced novelists, poets, critics, religious and political thinkers – all bound together by their commitment to the goals of freedom and justice.”—

Like I said, russian philosophy is literary, not rational(rousseau), not rigorous (Kant), nor empirical (smith and hume), nor legal ( jefferson ). Russian philosophy is one of LAMENT OF LOSS. But loss of what? Byziantine fall? Why does russia tolerate islam if it is islam that caused byzantine fall?

Russian Philosophy Encounters German Idealism

Intellectuals matter, because intellectuals teach. And a lot of intellectuals teaching the same thing, transforms generations.

—” in 1836 of Chaadaev’s ‘Philosophical Letter’, which posed Russia’s relationship to the West as a central philosophical problem, maintaining that Russia’s historical separation from the culture of Western Christianity precluded its participation in the movement of history towards the establishment of a universal Christian society. Chaadaev’s version of the march of progress was much indebted to French Catholic conservatism, while the nationalist riposte to his ideas drew heavily on the Romantics’ critique of the Age of Reason and Schelling’s organic conception of nationhood: the Slavophiles held that Western culture was in a state of terminal moral and social decline, suffering from an excess of rationalism, which had led to social atomization and the fragmentation of the individual psyche (see Chaadaev, P.I.; Schellingianism, Russian). These divisions could be healed only by religious faith in its purest form, Russian Orthodoxy, whose spirit of organic ‘togetherness’, uncontaminated by Western rationalism, they presented as a model for Russian society and a beacon for mankind. They thereby laid the foundations of a distinctively Russian tradition of cultural and religious messianism which includes Dostoevskii’s political writings, the Pan-Slavist and Eurasian movements (see Dostoevskii, F.M.; Pan-Slavism and Eurasian movement), and the apocalyptic vision of Berdiaev, whose philosophy was highly popular among the Soviet underground.”—

Analysis Of The Strategies Of The Ukrainian And Russian Peoples And A Prediction Of The Future.

—Why is urkaine’s independence sacrosanct?—

1) liberty has a value in itself, and one cannot claim a desire for liberty without reciprocally assiting others. Although the reason for that is longer than I want to get into right now.

2) there is no reason ever, why a people cannot secede to form a nation by secession from an empire, except occupation.

2) It is always moral for a higher trust people to govern a lower trust people, but Russians are a lower trust people than Ukrainians.

4) Poland and Ukraine are genetically related peoples (indistinguishable) and there is no reason that Ukrainians cannot possess the same quality of life as the Poles. Poland has a GDP per capital of 14K and Ukraine, despite similar geography and demographics has one of 4k. Ukrainians could triple their standard of living if they could join either Poland or the EU, which would displace the oligarchs, and with the oligarchs and Russian corruption, post-soviet poverty.

5) The Russians have murdered far too many people in this country, desecrated graves, destroyed traditions, made people disappear in the night, destroyed a once-healthy high trust European culture, destroyed families, destroyed ethics and morality, destroyed the middle class, occupied, impoverished, and supported a predatory and corrupt regime. They don’t want Russian leadership they want prosperity.

6) the borderlands sphere, consisting of the north eastern European countries: Boland, Czech republic, Hungary,, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, Slovenia, and at the outside, Romania form a cultural and genetic region.

The southern eastern European countries of the mountain-sphere: Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Kosovo and Macedonia, would be better off forming their own federations. These countries had more ottoman influence and they will always be harder to govern.

Belarus has decided to remain, like the Kazhaks, in the Russian steppe-sphere. Much like cuba lived off soviet contributions, belarus lives of russian.

WHY DOES UKRAINE MATTER TO RUSSIA?

Well, to be a great power requries about .5B people. Russia has 140M. The Kazahks have 17, the Belarus 10, Ukraine about 45, the poles 38, the baltics not enough to matter.

Russia has poor ports for a world power: the black sea (crimea), kalinningrad (conquered german city of Koenigsburg), and it’s artic locations. So as an ARTIC power it’s got bases, but as a TEMPERATE SHIPPING power it doesn’t.

Without access to water russia cannot be a great power.

WHY DOES RUSSIA WANT TO BE A GREAT POWER?
They want to restore orthodox civilization, and frankly who can blame them. Otherwise they’re a small population with an enormous land mass to defend, and without the people, economy, and infrastructure to defend it.

Russian mythology and paranoid psychology does not easily accept the status of second-rate nation, subject tot he will of others. Especially when internal control requries such heavy-handedness. Weakness is not tolerable.

So the die is cast, and unless russia wants to rule the islamic world by remote, using israel, saudi arabia, and turkey, she has no possible method of obtaining territory and economy sufficient for a great power status.

So she has three choices: join the west (which is what we all want really – them to rescue us from liberalism and us to rescue them from corruption and the absence of rule of law.

She can try to unite with china, which merely means she will be a client state of 140m managed by the economiy and might of a different race (chinese) who have a very poor record of treatment of satellites.

Or she can try to progressively obtain control over the middle east. And why is this sensible for russia? Beause almost all the oil in the world is in a big puddle between saudia arabia, and the artic above moscow.

IN other words, russia can make a play to rule the resourc-cursed destert and steppe peoples. Why? Islamic demographics and religion dooms them to permanent underclass. Russia, israel, and turkey can create a technological and miltiary caste system that basically farms the arabs and iranians as cattle.

THIS IS HOW GROWNUPS TALK ABOUT WORLD AFFAIRS.
(and if you can’t talk economics and incentives you need to learn to)

BACK TO UKRAINE.
A romantic would say that we preserve Ukraine. A scientist would say that the southeast and access to the black sea are lost because Russians successfully transplanted so many of their people into that region that they have done to Ukraine what Europeans did to the American Indians: destroyed them through invasion and conquest and immigration.

So the rational solution would be to give russia her warm water ports and return the center and west of Ukraine to poland, making Poland roughly the population of Germany, but with three time’s germany’s 120k square miles, at ~300K square miles of territory, and the best farmland outside of west france. Capable of feeding all of europe forever. Poland and germany alone then would be equal in population to russia, and economically leaving germany+poland/ukraine with ~5T in GDP compared to 2T of russian GDP.

Russia then is both safe and economically incapable of western expansion.

Russia and Ukraine

American Fools and Russian Fools. We Need To Fix Each Other.

[A]merica is a well intentioned fool. And Russia is a paranoid fool. They are both fools. The solution for the northern hemisphere is to unite anglo law, german engineering, and Russian resources and to diminish the role of america in european affairs.

Russians must have an external enemy or the will be forced to confront the reality that they need none: they are their own worst enemies.

Americans must learn that Russians are right in their emphasis on the family nation and culture OVER consumption. And that the american emphasis on CORPORATE state, and CONSUMPTION are antithetical to the preservation of Family,Tribe, and Nation. And Russians must wean themselves off of mistrust and ever present corruption by aggressively expanding the rule of law.

The Americans must learn that all attempts to spread democracy have failed. And that democracy is a luxury good that results from the universal nuclear family, the civic society, the rule of natural law, the total suppression of parasitism, and the resulting high trust society – and not in itself a good, or the producers of goods.

Americans AND Russians must learn that it is not governments and legislatures that create goods, but truth telling in the populace enforced by unforgiving rule of law that punishes violations of natural law.

The British the americans, the Canadians, the Australians the french, the Nordics must learn that they are genetically and culturally the results of thousands of years of eugenic evolution and not the products of self- congratulatory high mindedness.
So everyone (as usual) is half right.

DEAR PUTIN: if you’re right just speak the truth. You’re right. But when you poison people in Ukraine and UK and you rig elections in Ukraine, and you invade Ukraine, instead of BUYING what you want with rich natural resources, you deserve what you get.

When you are unclear with Naive idealistic american Bureaucrats and expect them to understand Russian ‘hinting’ it’s your own fault. When you don’t give them a plan for the integration of the circumpolar people into a united military and economic block you deserve what you get. When you let the worlds chief advocates of human rights into Georgia and you don’t fix corruption, then you deserve what you get. When you cannot clean up your own house which is so pervasively corrupt then you deserve what you get.

DEAR AMERICANS: Your time is done. America is the end of the proletarian experiment. Now adults must take charge again in both america and europe. There will be no more democracies. There will be oligarchies and aristocracies, and various degrees of rule of law, becuase men are vastly unequal in their merit to one another. And women have demonstrated once again that they have no place in politics. Because politics is just war by other means.

America is just as corrupt if not more so than Russia, China and Ukraine. What kind of corruption allows the degradation of the civic society, the nuclear family, anglo saxon rule of law, the constitution, in order to sustain the power of a central state that all of us despise?

RUSSIANS ARE RIGHT ABOUT FAMILY AND CULTURE AND AMERICANS ARE RIGHT ABOUT TRUTH, RULE OF LAW AND CORRUPTION.
WE NEED TO FIX EACH OTHER. NEITHER CAN OR SHOULD OR NEEDS TO WIN.
